The Best New Restaurants in Austin, September 2025

Readers of Eater usually have the same question: Where should I eat right now? As always, the Austin restaurant scene remains as exciting as ever, with our fall picks trickling open. With this in mind, Eater is updating its monthly heatmap, highlighting a mix of exciting restaurants, trucks, bars and general food experiences. New this month are Nica on 4th, Twin Isle, and Grá Mór. Coming off the map are Vida Verde Kitchen, Kabab Ghar, and Cousin Louie’s Italian American.
